To understand the structure of dreaming we turn to drama... The unconscious produces drama, poetic fictions; it is theater.

Dreams are the most accessible and quickest route to understanding the underlying forces that
move us toward health and wholeness. In dreams we come to realize that the degree of familiarity with the characters and struggles of our night-time visions is proportional to our understanding of what animates us in our waking world.
We dream of seen and unseen forces: the known, the disavowed and the unrepresented. Facing these forces in dreams recovers for us a world in which fear and illusion gives way to the authenticity of personal power.
Dream Portrayal creates a community of dreamers who assist each other in physically recreating and then re-entering
a dream. By doing this the dreamer's perception of the dream moves from not only an intellectual knowing but to an emotionally and physically experienced understanding. Experiential understanding and intellectual knowing go hand-in-hand. Bringing the physicality of dream portrayal
to the intellectual analysis of dreams enriches and informs the powers of both.
Dreams are the personal theater of life's meaning
The dreamwork at the workshop felt visceral and organic. It's such a powerful way to understand a dream.

"Rather than be confronted with an overwhelming proof of the limitations of our understanding, we accuse dreams of not making sense."
